Earlier this month our hosting service provider experienced major power outage. They say they had the electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding their electrical equipment room.

I was unable to receive any e-mail of any kind until today, neither new order notifications nor support requests. If you're waiting for a response or have not received your license key, please resend your e-mail to support e-mail account.

the latest build has the code that takes care of the images and page links only. Sorry, but I am not sure that adding such a specific feature like the one you offer will be worth the effort. This is the first time I have been asked for such a feature and if it would get more votes I would look into it. I hate to disappoint you on this, but I have no choice here. I am sorry, mate.
_________________
Have a great day,

I've noticed it seems to lock up on the site i linked above more often with the new build, and I'm still having the div none problem.

When i say locked up, I mean it gets stuck downloading the first link. The program it self isn't frozen, you can navigate through it, but it will completely freeze if you try to pause or stop the job. It seems random when it locks up on the first link, but it always locks up after 5-6 hours of running that job.

I tested some of my old projects and they run fine, even my other really long ones. Its just this one, so I re-made the project from scratch, but still get the same result.

I guess i'll try a fresh install, just to make sure something from a previous installation isn't messing it up. If that don't work I'll try reverting to the 4.50 version see if that one works, and if both of those fail, then maybe the website dont take kindly to ripping.

I was thinking, could you to make a new options in the project editor, called ignore page code and have 2 fields,

one: start ignoring when you see this, this, or this
two: and stop ignoring if you see this, this, or this, respectively?

Example: I saw the second ignore, I'm gonna keep ignoring till I see the second don't ignore.

That would prevent other users from having similar, but different issues. Take your time though, i'm not trying to rush you.

Well, I made it a default behavior to ignore links with styles "visibility:hidden" or "display:none". Web sites can detect robots by placing invisible links that human surfers cannot see and cannot click. So, if some client from a given IP address managed to click on an invisible link, then this particular client is not a real user, but a bot.
_________________
Have a great day,

Subject: Havign trouble with a site: http://lu.scio.us/
Posted: Fri Mar 28, 2008 5:30 pm (GMT -6)
Just tell me where to send my xml project if you want to see it, I have it fine tuned to get just what you want, and not wonder the whole damn site, I have another one for that .

Basically the project saves the images based on the reffering link cause the images are stored in a seemingly random fashion, so I end up with root/album name/sequential number/image.jpg the "sequential number" is alway really high and the lowest starts the beggining of the album and the highest is the end, so its in the right order, unless for some reason it failed to get that image, which isnt a big deal since i can just run the project again and most likely get them. Basically though every image has a folder, its annoying but I can live with that since its shows up in the right order when I use my viewer.

Now on to my problem.
Instead of every folder containing one image, it also contains the next image, and the next folder in the sequence contains the next image, and the current image, which again would be a problem if they file names weren't random, so they do not show up in order. Not so annoying if it were only one album, but I'm trying to rip the whole site, And fixing that many errors would be annoying as hell.

After much trouble shooting, i found the problem, it wasnt PR.

Here is why...
I viewed the source of this page...
http://lu.scio.us/hentai/albums/0-distance-love-english/1693254
And found this little bit of code to be the source of my dismay.

Code:

#div class="picture" id="pid_full_1693254">

            #a href="/hentai/albums/0-distance-love-english/1693255">#img alt="0-Distance Love (english ) - 1" src="http://static.lu.scio.us/hentai/s1/11262/32021/normal__2a0a87538f095489b5fe5a1ab006527b_001.jpg" /></a>
            #div style="display: none">#img alt="0-Distance Love (english ) - 2" src="http://static.lu.scio.us/hentai/s1/11262/32021/normal__fbe2990b4f945d61c391fbd45273c5d7_002.jpg" /></div>

**The # stands for the < sign, wont display the code otherwise for some reason...

The second div is displaying the next image on the page in code, but not in reality. Basically Picture Ripper sees this next image as the current image and saves it, when it gets to the next page it skips the current image, as it got it already, sees the next image and saves it, then save the current pages High Res image, which is how i end up with 2 different images int he folder. I could tell picture ripper to save repeat files, instead of ignoring them, and probably get it to work. But that would leave me with a crapload of duplicates, of larger albums and still have the random naming sequence to deal with.

Is there a way to tell picture ripper, to ignore that small bit of code?
Or maybe update picture ripper to skip images between a div none tag?
